haha, i voted none for the labor system. how is a labor system in general a good thing anyways.
&& the fact that the best AND worst inventions are gun sounds hypocritical to me.
I voted for Akbar for the leader but i think that the Abbas guy would be second because he was the one guy who respected the west.
How was the battle of Chaldiran the best conflict? I had never heard about it before last week and we went over it in like 30 seconds in class. The best conflict has to be the English takedown of the Spanish Armada. It was a huge event in English history and forever changed who held the naval power in Europe and in the World. Plus, I had at least heard about it prior to this class.
as someone who helped count those ballots, i'm pretty sure there were votes for best labor system. granted the best labor systems were things like serfdom which really weren't that great...
wow, i didn't get to vote :[
that's depressing. but i know what i would have voted for at least. haha. oh well maybe next time.
how was akbar the best leader? after he died all his reforms were dumped and traditional india resumed. Peter the great made russia into what it is today.
i want a recount!
Guns are in fact, the best and worst of inventions. They make for easier takeovers, and generally make war a lot faster, and a little more simple. Point, and shoot. Not a lot of things to learn about that, compared to with swordplay, where you have to learn the different stances, attacks, counterattacks, defensive moves, like in Kendo. However, they are terrible for the same reason they are good. You make war faster, meaning you kill the enemy faster, which in the long run isn't a good thing, and simplicity means that anyone can pick up a gun and use it, for war or otherwise.
Humans are terrible. I'm disappointed in my people.
